Rules of Hostel


  • Student should maintain high discipline inside the hostel and at the dining hall.
  • Students should always maintain punctuality.
  • Students should keep their belongings (even pens, pencils, etc). in the racks provided .If any student loses any articles, the college is not responsible.
  • Students should maintain cleanliness in their respective rooms. They should keep their cupboard, cot and shoe rack neat and in order.
  • In case of any loss or damage of the hostel belongings, the cost will be realized through general fine.
  • Students should maintain personal hygiene.
  • The shoe rack can be used for one pair of shoes (optional), one pair of sandals and one pair of bathroom slippers. Students are not supposed to keep more than the specified items
  • Eatables are not allowed inside the Hostel. No deviation in this will be entertained.
  • Food will be provided honouring the students’ general interest and no catering will be done on individuals’ option.
  • Students should also avoid using things / garments of others.
  • Students are not allowed to borrow money from anyone.
  • The students are advised not to keep large amount of cash or valuables in the room. The students are responsible for the safety of her belongings inside the room.
  • Students will lock their rooms and hand over the keys to sub warden before they leave.
  • Students will not be permitted to leave the campus without permission.
  • Students must switch off the electrical fixtures whenever it is not required.
  • During college working day student will not be permitted to put leave casually and stay in the hostel. Warden will send in the leave report to the HoD and principal indicating reason of leave.
  • In case of sickness, students should report immediately to the warden and co-operate in taking medicines.
  • No student is allowed to keep medicines with her. Only the Duty Nurse / Warden In charge is allowed to keep them and administer them.
  • Medical treatment charges, if incurred at all, are to be paid by student.
  • Students suffering from infectious diseases or severe emotional syndromes will not be allowed to stay in the hostel. They will return to the hostel only after full recovery from their ailments.
  • Students should be keen on coming back to hostel after holidays on the stipulated dates itself. Those who fail in doing so will be subjected to stern actions.
  • Damage of college property by any means and wastage of water/food will be viewed very seriously.
  • Decisions will be taken by the collegel and hostel authorities in the best interests of the well being and development of the students and parents should comply with such decisions earnestly.
  • Confidential suggestion box facility is available in the hostel for student suggestions regarding their problem if any.
  • Students may contact the principal / warden for any problem without any hesitation.
  • Students should keep modesty, decency and decorum in their behavior, dress and hair style.
  • Hostellers will follow the daily routine of the hostel and college unless exempted on medical grounds or recommendation of the hostel sub warden.
  • Loud talking / discussions / singing / arguing / quarrelling / birthday or any other kind of partying etc., are strictly prohibited.
  • Any one indulging in RAGGING (which is totally prohibited) will be punished as per UGC anti ragging notice
  • Electrical gadgets like heaters, kettles, irons or any other such appliances will not be allowed in the hostel.
  • Students will be punished for scribbling graffiti on the walls, usage of foul language, unruly movement in the corridors.
  • Students should sleep only in their respective cots. Sleeping on other’s cot will be viewed seriously.
  • Students should not go to other’s room without the permission of the warden. If they do so, a fine will be imposed.
  • There shall be a roll call in the hostel every day by the warden at particular time duration. Failure to be physically present during roll call will entail disciplinary action.
  • Students should not keep and use electronic items like camera, walkman, i-pod,cell phone, etc., in the hostel. Defaulter will be fined Rs.500/- per instance.
  • No student is allowed to come out of the hostel during stipulated times or to stay in the hostel without obtaining permission from the warden. Violating this will be viewed seriously.
  • Students are advised to return to hostel as per the date indicated in the out pass. If for any reason they are not able to return as per the date, they must immediately communicate to the warden of the hostel and the head of department in the college. Warden on receiving communication will confirm with parent and inform the HoD.
  • Hostellers absenting from classes or tests without prior written permission from the Warden and HoD, shall be liable to be removed from the hostel.
  • Once removed from the rolls of the hostel, a person shall not be readmitted in the hostel
  • Student expelled due to disciplinary issues are not entitled for refund of hostel fees
  • Students should mention the details of items brought from their place in the prescribed format, show them physically and submit the format to the warden.
  • Any hostel students unwantedly helping a day student and vice versa is strictly punishable. The punishment will be for both the students.

Violating any of the above more than twice, will be intimated to the parents. After taking assurance from the parents, a re-admission fee will be collected from that particular student.

  • Hostel accommodation is allotted purely at the discretion of the chief warden and on condition that the student agrees to abide by all the rules and regulations of the hostel.
  • The hostel facility will only be provided to the student after personal interview. The conduct and behaviour will be closely observed for continuing her admission in the hostel.
  • Hostel reception room is the only venue for receiving visitors and no visitors will be permitted to enter any other parts of the hostel.
  • Students can be taken home at 3.30 pm on the compulsary closure Fridays. They should come back early enough to attend the class on the next working day.
  • Parents should sign in the register during the entry and exit.
  • Parents can call their wards by telephone between 6.00 pm and 8.00 pm by the mobile number specifically given for them only through the mobile number given by the parents in the application form
  • All telephone calls and letters to the students will be under the surveillance and control of the warden.
  • The parents should not come to the hostel to visit their wards other than the specified visiting days.
  • No student will be permitted to go home without the parents/guardians presence.
  • Parents without hostel ID card will not be permitted to enter the hostel.
