Vision
The Department has been doing yeomen service for the cause of higher education catering to the requirements of students mostly hailing from rural areas and nearby hamlets. The Department has achieved a remarkable academic performance in this area. It produces many university rank holders every year.
Mission
From this academic year (2012- 2013) the department starts its function separately and formed as a new department of Commerce with Computer Application. It aims to Shape the students to fit in this Competitive and Corporate World.
- Mold the students to be the good human beings.
- Promote the knowledge on the current topic by arranging seminars and lecturers.
- Guiding the students to write the competitive exams.
- Motivate the students to do ICWA & CA.
- Direct them to do the service to the society.

Strengths:

Weaknesses:
- Limited exposure of students as most of them is from rural area.
- Lack of communication skills among students.
- Pursuing research/publishing papers/clearing CSIR-NET/SET exam
- Need for placement initiatives and collaborations.

- With industrial collaboration staff and students can have exposure to make the students industry ready.

Challenges
- Need of the industry is changing frequently.
- To Train the students to do ICWA & CA as the students are from heterogeneous group
- Most of the nearby institutions are offering the same course.
